Although it may not be easy for you to ask for help, there are many kinds of support available to you, such as:

  • Peer Support Programs.
  • Your family doctor.
  • A partner-paramedic or close friend, in or outside of work.
  • A trusted supervisor, instructor, or mentor.
  • A professional counsellor or therapist, perhaps through an Employee Assistance Program or and Extended Insurance policy.
  • A leader or member of your faith or spiritual community.
